Summary: We are a pharmacy with a state of the art dispensing robot located within a GP surgery. We require a customer focused pharmacist to join our professional team. A prescribing qualification is desirable but not essential and newly qualified pharmacists are also encouraged to apply.

Ixworth Pharmacy is seeking a passionate and customer focused pharmacist to join our hybrid Pharmacy & Dispensary. We are located within a GP surgery with a state of the art dispensing robot. This is an exciting opportunity to join a great healthcare brand and to work in partnership with the NHS, whilst working alongside established and experienced multi-disciplinary healthcare teams.

Your role will involve:

• The day-to-day management of the Pharmacy, its commercial metrics and the colleagues working in it.

• Managing professional services and building customer loyalty

• Essential services such as dispensing & checking prescription medicines

• Providing outstanding clinical services

• Training, coaching and inspiring the pharmacy team

• Identifying areas where we can improve our services

A pharmacy degree, professional registration as a practising pharmacist is essential. A prescribing qualification is desirable but not essential.

Working hours: 28.5 hours – 37.5 hours (Monday – Saturday). Pharmacy opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6.30pm and Saturday 9am - 1pm.

Prescribing Clerk

Mon – Fri 20 hours per week

Duties include:

• Managing prescription requests

• Answering enquiries from patients about their prescriptions

• Generating repeat prescriptions

• Liaising between teams in practice to ensure prescription requests are processed

The suitable candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work well within varied teams within the practice as well as display good organisational skills and be able to ensure successful outcomes.

Receptionist

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to join our busy reception/administration team in a friendly, rural GP practice.

This is a busy and varied role communicating with patients, clinicians and other personnel both on the telephone and in person in a sympathetic and caring manner. In addition the role entails contributing to the back office function of the practice with other team members. Experience of working in a similar environment would be desirable but not essential as full training can be given to the right candidate.

The hours are negotiable.
